Kalata Power Ltd. (the Hatzerim Power Plant) is in its advanced stages of planning and licensing for the
construction of a power plant in Kibbutz Hatzerim and holds an approved Town Contraction Plan for its construction.
The power plant will operate using the trigeneration method (CCHP – Combined Cooling, Heating and Power)
with a planned output of up to 7 MW of electricity.
It will provide the electricity and thermal energy needs of the Netafim Ltd. (Netafim) plant and those of Kibbutz Hatzerim.
It is located in the southern part of Israel, 85 km from Jerusalem.
Excess power, if any, will be sold to other consumers through the Electric Company conduction grid.
